BeYond the Closet
YOUR wedding day is over. You've said your vows and cried your tears. Now what? That beautiful wedding gown gets placed in a bag to be put in a box to be stored in the back of your closet? I DON'T THINK SO! You don't have to say goodbye to the dress JUST yet!
BeYond the Closet (BTC) is a service unlike anything else you would do with your wedding dress and you're husband/wife. The videography created in BTC is very creative and artistic. Meet Steve. He's probably one of the most understanding, considerate fellows you may ever be introduced to. Although he is THE BOSS we all feel like we have a great friendship and we don't carry that awkward boss / employee relationship. Steve tends to keep very busy as well. He is extremely passionate about video and weddings!
Steve doesn't think of video as work because he enjoys doing it. Steve does everything. He can even carry on a conversation for hours with someone he met 5 minutes ago. :) LouAnn is Steve's wife and they have been married for at least 10 years. Just this last summer Steve's daughter Rachel was married and Aspire got to return a favor to Steve by capturing his daughter's wedding and catching the tear drops fall from Steve's eyes.
Michael is his name. Originally from Illinios, he is anything but boring. I don't think that there is nothing he wouldn't try or at least consider risking. He's very adventurous and high energy. In May of 2006, Michael graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing with a minor in Business Ethics.
Not only does Mike capture video he also designs the album and DVD covers, designs/manages any artwork for Aspire, and contributes immensely in our marketing department. Mike brings his creative ideas to the table and continues to awe us each day.
Well, my degree is Electronic Media. I plan to graduate in a year and move down south somewhere to pursue a career in media or music. I love my job as an editor at Aspire. It gives me the freedom to tell the story through simple cut-aways, fades, transitions, and shots that move and compensate with the background music.
In my life outside of Aspire, I attend the University of Northern Iowa; sing with the worship team at Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church in Cedar Falls; sing and write songs; hang out with my friends; read the bible each morning; watch basketball (Go Kentucky and Phoenix Suns!), andy griffith, fresh prince of bel-air, reba, dirty jobs, and american chopper; play sports; and lead a simple life by walking the walk of faith in the Lord and not wearing my faith on my sleeves. When I'm not working and I have time off, I love to go snowboarding at this time of year. Hi, my name is Lori and I am a video technician. I love meeting new people, experiencing all sorts of cultures, cooking/baking, playing sports, and living life in general! :)
I am currently working on a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration focusing on Management. Learning about video is exciting and interesting to me. SOOO many people are unhappy with their jobs, but not me. I absolutely love it and can't believe I am in the industry. I've been blessed with great instructors and fellow employees who have helped me be who I am today. Thanks ya'll!
